Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Clinic Receptionist to join our team at our rural health clinic. This position is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service while ensuring smooth front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.

• Answer and direct incoming calls; take messages as needed.

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.

• Collect copayments and process payments accurately.

• Maintain organized and confidential patient records.

• Assist patients with completing required forms.

• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient flow and timely service.

• Perform general office duties, including scanning, filing, and faxing.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in office administration preferred.

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred but not required.

• Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and basic office equipment.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Professional and compassionate approach when interacting with patients.
